Only few young people know, that our capital was the only place where the youth of the East and the West have actually met in 68: two months after the Paris barricades and two weeks before the intervention in Prague. The authorities wanted a harmonious festival, but the times were not like that – What happened? What failed to happen? Exploring revolutions in Europe and the trajectories of the passing time, the Berlin independent theatre collective andcompany&Co. in cooperation with ACT Festival and Goethe-Institut Bulgarien invite KD Wolff 50 years later in Sofia. Together with the internationally known Bulgarian writer Georgi Gospodinov and the artistic director of the independent theatre Archa in Prague Ondrej Hrab, they will discuss about the role of arts in times of revolutions, counter-revolutions and supressed revolutions.
